ways to give
Cash gifts are the easiest kind of gift you can make. Credit/debit card transactions, and EFTs can be done here, or you can write a check payable to Westside Christian Academy. Please mail checks to Westside Christian Academy, Attention: Philanthropy Office, 23096 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145
Matching gifts can double or even triple the value of your gift. Many employers match gifts made to non-profits by their employees and retirees. To learn if your company matches gifts, please contact your company’s Human Resources Department.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities offer significant tax advantages to the donor. By making a gift of this type, the donor can take a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities while avoiding capital gains taxes. Please contact Wes Moore, our Director of Philanthropy, at email@example.com for our preferred account information.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
This provision allows retirees age 70 1/2 and older to donate up to $100,000 tax-free from their IRA to a charitable organization, including WCA.
Planned gifts are deferred gifts made in a donor’s estate plans. Sample language to use when making your estate plans is available here.
Gifts in Kind
In-kind gifts are contributions of tangible items that the school would otherwise have to purchase. Examples of in-kind gifts donated to WCA have included works of art, athletic equipment and uniforms, musical instruments, and other school supplies.
Ohio’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Tax Credit
The state of Ohio’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) tax credit authorizes Ohio donors who contribute to K-12 student scholarships through a certified SGO to receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state taxes, up to $750 per individual taxpayer. WCA partners with the Ohio Christian Education Network’s SGO to provide students with much-needed scholarships and donors with an Ohio tax credit. For more information and to give to the SGO, click here.
For more information on any of these giving methods or to discuss other giving options, please contact Wes Moore, Director of Philanthropy

“WCA is one of the best things that has happened to us since we moved here a few years back. Right from the beginning we were warmly welcomed and my kids have always felt safe and very comfortable in the school environment.
The teachers here are friendly and amazing. They not only focus on improving my kid’s areas of need but also put a huge emphasis on bolstering their individual strengths. The Principal, Headmaster and teachers promptly address any questions or concerns without delay.
I also greatly appreciate the detailed timely update I get regarding everything happening at school without any communication gap.
I love how every management decision is prayerfully considered.
Overall it has been a pleasant Journey so far. Thanking God for the wonderful privilege of being a part of WCA.”

“WCA has quite the growing reputation in the Cleveland area. We knew we wanted to check it out when our kids were older, but didn’t know they started at preschool. We found out only weeks before the school year was starting & signed up our daughter. It could not have been a better experience for us or our daughter. To know she is in a safe Christian environment where she is nurtured & encouraged is priceless. We can not believe how much she has learned & grown in preschool! She is quoting scripture & fully explaining Bible stories to us. We feel very confident she is ready & prepared for kindergarten. “

“Pre-K has been an incredible experience for our family. If I had to choose one word to describe Pre-K it would be “precious”. Our children have learned so much academically while simultaneously being encouraged to be full of wonder, creativity, and God’s perfect love. Teachers are engaged with our children and have meaningful interactions throughout the school day. Our children are nurtured by our extraordinary teachers and have been set up for success for kindergarten and beyond. This wonderful group of children have become like family versus just classmates….it’s very special. I am so thankful for Pre-K at WCA!”
